Some folks claim that this NASA image depicts 2 aliens on the surface of Mars.
Mars’ Alien Secrets
For sure we still have a lot to learn about the red planet. But did aliens live there? And if so, are they still there? Some UFOlogists belive the answer is yes. The image has been reported by Express UK and other UFOlogy websites.
NASA claims there has been no evidence of current or ancient life on the red planet. So is this another case of pareidolia like so many other sightings? It’s impossible to say for sure, but many researchers have already made their decision:
The photo above and below show two figures standing next to each other. Its impossible to tell if they are alive or statues, but I would say they are statues that have survived millions of years. ~Scott Waring from UFO Sightings Daily
Could this Mars photo simply show nothing more than oddly shaped rocks? Or are these statues from an ancient civilization? What’s the likelihood that statues could survive millions of years while all other signs of civilization crumble around them?
Extreme Zoom & Shadows
Check out this image – zoomed out some so that you can take in the entire context of the area:
What we can see from the above image is that the same area (the blue arrow) is actually the vertical portion of a small ledge. That portion is in shadow and doesn’t look nearly as alien-like once the full context is shown.
The pixelation caused by extreme zooming into the image makes the feature look more organic. Also the original image makes absolutely zero reference to scale, so we have no way of knowing whether this image covers just a few feet or hundreds of miles.
Great Claims Require Great Proof
The consequences of actual Martian life, either in the distant past or in the present, would be monumental. It’s for this reason that we must be very critical and ensure that images show clear and evident proof. There should be no question.
It’s no secret that I’m a true skeptic. I agree that the Mars formations are oddly shaped but what does that prove? I want proof that leaves no doubt. So I ask you… is the image proof enough for you? The people who pour over these images view them at many different zooms and must have seen it at some point from my perspective. At best, it’s another case of pareidolia – at worst it’s intentional deception by UFOlogists trying to stir something up that clearly isn’t there.
Now, give me a picture from the Mars rover that looks like this one below, and maybe we’ll talk:
